The Center for Catholic and Evangelical Theology is a theological enterprise of Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox Christians whose goal is to promote faithfulness throughout the Church to the Word of God in Jesus Christ. It seeks to advance the knowledge of God's revelation as authoritatively mediated by Holy Scripture and normatively interpreted by the church's credal and dogmatic tradition. Without avoiding the difficult issues that divide us, it seeks ways in which our traditions, East and West, Reformation and Catholic, North and South, might enrich one another in pursuit of Christian unity.
CCET pursues its goal through ecumenical research and conversation, principally (at present) through its scholarly journal, Pro Ecclesia, and through the Pro Ecclesia Conferences for clergy and laity.
